The Art of Stillness

The pursuit of stillness within a Universe that is famously unstill is an interesting task. Here you are, a soul, occupying a physical body surrounded by noise looking to find the one thing that will offer you peace. Stillness. Not just the stillness of the mind and body, stillness of the entire being. Remember, you are a multidimensional being who has pieces and parts in many different frequencies and densities. Stillness, TRUE stillness is the elusive state where all these aspects pause, disengage from their duties and admire the entirety of our being collectively.

How's that for a now moment? When I meditate, everything stops, acknowledges the now, and sits in appreciation.

So what are we looking for in that state? That's easy, Presence. Why? Presence is where the soul lives. This illusion was designed to push and pull you from all angles, never letting you sit in the present moment for too long before something tugs you back into the past or propels you into the future. It's very hard to be present when your mind is full of chatter and when you are constantly bombarded by outside noise and distractions. Stillness allows you to be present in the moment where all the good stuff is!

Finding that elusive state where spiritual nourishment, inner peace a renewed perspective can thrive is something that the soul craves deeply. Only then can it go deeper, far from the pull of the material world and the constant white noise of the mind. Stillness is the key to everything your soul desires. It's the gateway to Presence and once you find it, you'll never want to leave.

This important state of being is infinitely peaceful, yet powerfully transformative. In stillness, you are able to access the highest parts of yourself - your intuition, your creativity, your connection to the Divine. The stillness of the linear parts opens pathways in consciousness to the quantum parts. The story of you is one that requires a quantum perspective to fully understand but some are deterred from meditation because of the idea that within that sacred stillness is boredom and nothingness, when In fact, it's quite the opposite. Stillness is full of infinite potential and possibility. It is a field of pure consciousness that contains all the information and energy in the Universe and you have access to it in every moment. What does that say about who you are?

So what's the secret? I'll tell you how the Masters did it and how you can too.

The key is surrender. And you knew I was going to say that. You must be willing to let go of everything - your thoughts, your emotions, your body, your sense of self. You must be willing to release your grip on the illusion and allow yourself to fall into the unknown. And I don't mean just in moments where you're lucky enough to meditate, maybe that is the training ground but something funny eventually happens, you open your eyes and engage in the world again and that stillness goes with you, and there you are, walking the Earth with one of the rarest commodities, inner peace.

You deserve some time away from the talkative mind, you deserve some time away from the aches and pains of the body, and you deserve a break from the future obligations that you're already dreading. Let your consciousness take a vacation and come back with a renewed sense of purpose, one that is based on love, compassion, and understanding.

Make the decision to find stillness every day, even if it's just for a few moments, and watch that commitment blossom into full awareness of God inside.

I'll leave you with this food for thought. The next time you find that special state, remember that it's not just an opportunity to recharge your batteries, it's an opportunity to explore dimensions that are impossible to access otherwise. Go within, go with a purpose and find it. It is the key to appreciating the magic of life as it unfolds around you.
